The Red Stables, Building Refurbishments

‘Wintergarden’ is within the south wing of the Red Stables building, a protected structure, in St. Anne’s Park, a public park located in Clontarf. It was originally a flat roofed single storey building used as the blacksmiths for the stables which opened into the courtyard. In the early 2000’s it was converted into a glass roofed two storey building by DCC. This project comprised of the conversion of the glass roofed two storey building into a double height open plan event space. Works consisted of the stripping out of elements, removing the existing first floor structure, brickwork repairs/repointing, full new M&E and new finishes.

– Feature colour changing spot and strip lighting – Specialist thermal glazing system and blinds – Granite floor tiles – Conservation work to walls which included stripping paint, repointing and brick repairs
